Dedicated to the performance of MUSIC from a variety of cultures and genres

The Boys' & Girls' Choir is our middle, treble-choir where young men and women receive quality vocal training and music education in a setting that provides a secure environment to develop socially. BGC has a proud performance tradition, winning recognition and awards in Alberta, B.C., Saskatchewan, as well as nationally. The Boys' & Girls' Choir has performed with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Richard Eaton Singers, Da Camera Singers, Alberta Baroque, Alberta Ballet, Edmonton Opera and Opera Nuova. This choir rehearses two hours per week, continuing to develop the vocal instrument while exploring challenging three and four-part treble music. BGC also introduces the choristers to the touring experience, having toured throughout Canada, including trips to Ontario, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland & Labrador, British Columbia, and of course, all around Alberta.
In 2010 the Boys' & Girls' Choir was Second Prize winners in the National CBC Radio Choral Competition. This was a well-deserved acknowledgement of the quality of work this choir does on a regular basis. Well done!
